Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Organized an Exhibition of Master Painters from Karachi at Ahmed Pervez Art Gallery as Part of the 17th Aalmi Urdu Conference-Jashan-e-Karachi.

4th Dec, 2024: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized an exhibition where master painters from Karachi was held at Ahmed Pervez Art Gallery as part of the Jashan e-Karachi celebrations on this auspicious occasion. The event which has been inaugurated by Syed Asif Hyder Shah, Sindh Chief Secretary and Muhammad Ahmed Shah President Arts Council of Pakistan will be continued for three days from 5th to 7th December inclusive where more than forty acclaimed artistes’ paintings would also be exhibited.
- The exhibition was inaugurated by Syed Asif Hyder Shah, Sindh Chief Secretary and Muhammad Ahmed Shah President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi on Wednesday at the prestigious gallery which is one among 6 galleries in Lahore to host international art showcase for this year.
- The event will run till Friday night from December 5th through Dec. 7, starting with a ceremony and concluding by evening prayer hosted separately by Ahmed Pervez (a pioneer of modern Islamic calligraphy) himself at his house along the Mithadar road for invitees who have Rs100 tickets to enter into an exclusive artistic experience.
- The exhibition featured rare and precious masterpieces created between 1965 -2004 by Ahmed Pervez, A.R Nagori among others including works of Murtaza Bashir which are very unique in their style as well aesthetics but had been unrevealed to the public since some years ago except for few friends and family members who used it during private gatherings only till 2017 when he revealed them at his home open air gallery. This exhibition not only gives an opportunity to explore these works of art in person where visitors can also purchase original prints but will get a chance witnessing the live demonstrations by calligraphers as well performing arts artistes like Mansoor Saleem, Ismail Ghulam and A.Islam who have presented their skills with utmost devotion to craftsmanship while being accompanied on stage performance backed up by sound system which adds an element of festivity in atmosphere within the gallery itself during each evening prayer segment till Saturday night closing time at 10 PM after every day-to-night program that includes musical performances, dance recitals and artistic demonstrations.
