News

In Karachi, tensions escalated as multiple groups voiced their demands and grievances regarding unresolved issues dating back months. The outlawed Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) launched counter-protests at various locations across the city in defiance of Pakistan’s ban on them, demanding an end to what they perceive as misuse by politicians and calling for a military operation in Kurram. Simultaneinously, protests organized by MMW led by Shaista Gohar continued despite administrative actions taken against the group; these sit-ins aimed at expressing displeasure over unaddressed problems persist across 12 points till Monday night with negotiations ongoing between both sides to find a resolution.
