CTD registered another FIR in Karachi airport blast

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh registers another case of Karachi Airport attack.

The mastermind of blast was Bashir Ahmad Baloch alias Bashir Zeib, while Abdul Rahman aliag Gul is also named among suspects who are likely to be linked with the BLA Majeed Brigade commanders.
According to CTD sources, key commanders of banned group (BL) such as Bashir Ahmad Baloch alias Bashir Zeib, Abdul Rahman aliag Gul and others have been named in this case. Their connection with the BLA is a significant factor due to previous terrorist activities that are related back to them and their associates including members of Majeed Brigade as per CTD sources.

The Car rider suicide bomber, who was waiting for convoy from China near Karachi Airport signal rammed his car into the foreigner’s vehicle at a location where he might have had explosives with him in late Sunday afternoon which resulted to an intense blast that destroyed both vehicles.
In September, two Chinese nationals were killed and 17 others including Rangers personnel got injured when they encountered similar situation near Karachi Airport signal on the same day. All suspect information related back to this case is currently being analyzed by CTD Sindh for their investigation into terror activities in Pakistani region, particularly from Balochistan areas which are notorious due to constant unrest and violence that has been going around since 1970s till nowadentifying as a major security issue.

The Bomb Disposal Squad, also referred as BDS, has reported about the blast at airport area where explosives were estimated between 70 – 80 kilograms in size. This significant amount suggests that powerful device was set up with intent to cause massive destruction which resulted killing of three people and injuring another seventeen individuals along with damage caused on other vehicles around scene during the aftermath phase as per BDS report.
This blast has left a deep impact not only because it claims lives but also creates fear among local population due its connection back through Majeed Brigade associated activities in past years. As CTD Sindh continues working towards investigation and putting safety measures, they are urging public to be more alert while being around areas of high traffic volume or congregation points which often become potential targets based on history data collected over time by intelligence agencies like CTD.
Earlier report revealed fatalities resulting from similar attack near Karachi Airport signal late last month, highlighting escalating concerns related back to BDS findings as well along with urgency for address these terrorism threats effectively through cooperation of law enforcement departments across country lines including border security teams where needed in addition towards strengthening international relations especially around tourist destinations within Pakistan’s coastal region.*
