The Soul Festival and Karachi’s Positive Image
Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab stated that ongoing events like International Book Fair and Soul Festival are highlighting a positive image of our city. He believes these festivals serve as the best showcase for Karachi’s rich culture.
The Soul festival, happening at Beach View Park Clifton since Friday (13th Dec), provides entertainment to Karachi’s citizens. With food stalls and music being a traditional part of our cultural fabric, this three-day event is eagerly anticipated by the people as per Mayor Wahab’s statements in an interview with media representatives:
“The purpose of the festival is to showcase the bright face of the city.” – Murtaza Wahab.
Participating enthusiastically, local citizens and families are encouraged to enjoy this vibrant celebration together while it continues for three days at Beach View Park Clifton. The Mayor emphasized that these festive activities contribute significantly towards enhancing the city’s overall vibrancy.

As for a recent incident of water line disruption on University Road caused by contractor negligence during the Red Line project work; Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab shared that he has made contact with Sarosh Lodhi, head of Trans Karachi. He conveyed his instructions to him immediately and is working diligently towards a resolution for this matter:
“We have instructed our contractor [Sarosh Lodhi] who was in charge during the work on Red Line project; about repairing an 84-inch diameter pipeline which got damaged. While we released some water from it to avoid any inconvenience due to sudden breakage, but action will be taken against those responsible for negligence.” – Murtaza Wahab assured people of immediate corrective actions and reparations being done:
