City Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab’s Statement on KKF Properties and Cleanlininig Initiatives
Murtaza Wahab challenges the Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation (KKF) to validate property ownership or regularize through Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. He invites them for “documents” that will prove legality of KKF’s facilities in city and express his commitment towards removing ‘inappropriate slogans and advertisements’.
- Vows cleaning walls from unwarranted adverts/posters, keeping Karachi cleaner.
- Proposal to transform Federal B Area’s Sangam Ground for youth sports facilities instead of buffalo pens was appreciated by the Mayor.
- Praises Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment towards city betterment and development efforts like water supply & infrastructure improvements, as well as restoration projects aiming to resolve citizens’ issues were highlighted during his speech at Karachi City Corporation headquarters in early morning today along with inviting KKF for their property validation.
- A Rs12.4 billion project is underway alongside a separate plan of bringing 40 million gallons daily from Hub Canal, and prevent water theft via elevated pipeline work planned on Lyari River which includes lane marking & cat eyes installation to improve visibility as well for safety purposes while mentioning about these projects during his speech.
- Attended by Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, Special Assistant Usman Ghani Hangoro and others including family of former Karachi mayor G. A. Alana were present at the inaugural event where he dedicatedly unveiled 1.5 kilometer long road project for city’s betterment efforts with a cost mentioned as Rs70 million while covering up to details such as sidewalks, rainwater drainage pipes and curb stones installations along this newly inaugurated G. A. Alana Road which he proudly claimed is an example of their continuous effort towards city’s betterment during his speech at the event attended by officials & members from Karachi City Corporation headquarters in early morning today on January 20th, 2025 published in Dawn newspaper
