KARACHI: While police have failed to recover a minor boy kidnapped over a week ago in North Karachi, the kidnapping of two more children has sent ripples of concern among people*. Forcing Sindh chief minister to order practical measures for their immediate recovery.

The CM not only ordered police Chief Imran Khan and Additional IG Amir Raza Mir on Tuesday that the Karachi Metropolitan Police (KMP) must remain in touch with victims’ parents, ensure immediate recovery. He also directed them to increase patrolling across metropolis.

On January 7, seven-year-old Mohammed Sarim had gone to the seminary in North Karachi, Sector-5-K but did not return till 5pm on Jan 14 at around 1:30 pm when he was seen playing with his friends Aliyan and Ali Raza by CCTV footage. Two Baloch boys were taken away from the Garden locality in a motorbike ridden man and woman, said DIG-South Syed Asad Raza., as per Dawn report on Jan 14th.

The video showed how they had been abducted when Aliyan (Ali) was playing with his friends near Siddiq Wahab Road in Garden West around 3:40pm, just after Sarim left the seminary at about three forty p.m and returned home for lunch hour which he did not return before five pm as per father’s statement to police on Tuesday night.

The DIG said that police have taken necessary steps including investigations of all possible places, searching in Lyari River near the crime scene through rescue services with continuous efforts from Karachi Police for locating children and apprehending responsible individuals by 2pm yesterday when two boys were found missing at same place.

Aliyan’s mother told the police that he worked in Garden fitness gym and was not home at 1:30pm when her son did not return from playing outdories of his seminary friend, Mohsin Sarfraz Khan on January 7th but they were unable to find him. Ali Raza’s father said that when he got back after returning from meet-up with the mosque teacher who informed about leaving time and left in afternoon at around five pm when son returned home for dinner which was ready by then, Sarim’s mother also saw gloves of her missing child on stairway.

The boy’s father told that unidentified people had kidnapped his son Mohsin Pervez due to unknown reasons as per Dawn report released Tuesday morning when CJP-Central Zeeshan Siddiqui was informed about Sarim’s case on Jan 14.

Sarim’s father told that the abduction took place between January and Feb in North Karachi, but he has not been able to find his son till now despite police being traced with him at many homes of relatives for last three days when Mohsin Pervez said a Baloch on Tuesday morning.
