Mayer Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab Friday said that the Karachi Marathon has changed the sports landscape of Pakistan by reaching new heights and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will extend all possible cooperation in organizing the Marathon 2025, scheduled to be held on January 05, 2025.
“It’s important to note that introducing AIMS-certified marathons has helped promote healthy endurance sports activities aligning with international standards,” he remarked during a conversation with the organizers for Karachi Marathon in his office on Friday. Murtaza expressed hope that citizens of Karachi would participate extensively, showcasing their love for sports and dedication to physical fitness by joining various marathon events across Pakistan’s cities like Lahore (Punjab), Quetta(Baluchistan) Peshawar & Islamabad.
The Marathon 2025 in Karachi is a significant event as after the success of this year’s race, preparations for subsequent marathons have commended by Murtaza Wahab and his team alongside local athletes who participated with enthusiasm from various walks of life proving themselves part of global running community.
