Cold Wave Impacting Karachi
The cold wave, caused by icy winds blowing in from Quetta, significantly reduced the feel-like temperature. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported: “residents might see some respite from the cold starting today; however, another cold spell is anticipated to hit the city.”
The weather department forecasted that most districts in the province would remain cold and dry. Additional information includes light rain with thundershowers expected in Sukkur, Khairpur, Sanghar, and nearby areas while drizzle is likely in Umerkot, Tharparkar, and Karachi:
- Sukkur – Light rain with thundershower.
- Khairpur – Light rain with thundershowers.
- Sanghar – Rainy conditions expected throughout the day.
- Umerkot, Tharparkar – Drizzle anticipated for today and tomorrow.
- Karachi – Persistent drizzle to be observed till Wednesday.
