Cold Wave Intensifies over Karachi
The cold wave turned a bit intense late Sunday night as the mercury dropped to 7.9 degrees Celsius in parts of the city under the influence of a westerly wave.

- The Met department’s data released on Monday showed that while the city’s average minimum temperature recorded was 9°C, mercury dropped to 7.9°C at the Airport area, followed by 10.4°C in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, 11°C in Mauripur and temperatures exceeded 12 degrees Celsius throughout Bin Qasim including Sharea Faisal, where it was recorded as 11.5°C on Monday.*
