Celebrating our Heroes: Acknowledgment Ceremony by City Mayor Murtaza Wahab

Murtaza Wahab, the city mayor of Karachi, expressed his appreciation for individuals who have contributed services to our beautiful city. He specifically highlighted those among us like wardens and fire brigades that put their lives on the line in danger every day just as a testament to “their commitment.” To honor these people’s unwavering dedication, Mayor Wahab awarded Tamgha-e-Karachi during an elaborate ceremony.
The occasion was graced by distinguished guests including Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad and other esteemed representatives of the city council like Dil Muhammad among others from different departments and heads who stood strong in their contributions towards our beloved metropolis’ growth, development and safety.

Mayor Wahab pointed out that it is these unsung heroes we should honor for the services they provide daily to keep Karachi safe from fires or any other crises. This special day would be celebrated annually on January fifth every year, as a gesture of our gratitude towards them who have played an instrumental role in making this city better and brighter each time it comes around: - “The development projects underway in all seven districts.”
He further announced that Karachi’s 2025 is going to be the year for its unparalleled growth, with several ongoing developments across different areas of our beloved city. It will surely bring a wave of transformation and progress: - “The Tamgha-e-Karachi was presented by Mayor.”
Following this inspiring speech, Murtaza Wahab proceeded to present the tamgha (award) as an honor for their relentless work which has always been essential in keeping our city vibrant and safe:
