Launches At-Home Service for Karachi Residents

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new service in Karachi, designed to provide increased convenience to residents by offering at-home services for issuing and renewing national identity cards and other related services. This new initiative is set to begin on January 20. Three bikers will be deployed initially.

Increased Fleet Expected with Additional Bikes in Future

Initially, three bikers will be deployed for Karachi, while Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas each have one bike for the service. The fleet is expected to grow, as ten additional bikes are planned soon. Representatives carry necessary processing equipment backpacks providing citizens with more ease during transactions at home.

Additional Charges Included in At-Home Services

For at-home services there will be an extra charge of Rs1,000 which includes the service cost and delivery fees (Rs825 + Rs175). This move is expected to alleviate long waits and queues at NADRA offices.

Shutdown Of Pak ID Website in Favor of Mobile App Development by NADRA

Concerned over fraudulent activities, the decision was made for a mobile app. The new website is shut down to reduce these occurrences and streamline services while providing more security.

Introduction of Special Passport Counters at Mega Centres in Karachi by NADRA’s Passport Department

Special 4-hour passport counters have been introduced at Nazimabad & Siemens Chowrangi, offering flexibility for citizens needing these services. In addition to this, special 24/7 counter are established as well in Karachi Mega Centres by NADRA’s Passport Department providing convenience and speedy service access.
