Fleet Annual Efficiency Competition Parade | Pakistan Navy Dockyard, Karachi – May/June (Year)
The annual Fleet Annual Efficiency Competition parade was held by the Pakistan Navy at their home base in Karachi. The Chief of Naval Staff (Admiral Naveed Ashraf), alongside a ceremonial Guard of Honour, welcomed participants and guests alike to celebrate this significant event.
The competition honors warships, submarines, helicopters/UAVs with the primary goal to foster team spirit among officers while maintaining peak combat readiness levels for a successful operational year in 2024’s maritime security scenario. The Fleet has achieved notable accomplishments including participation in bilateral and multilateral exercises, regional patrol missions overseas as well as involvement with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) under which strategic projects are being implemented to enhance Pakistan’s maritime security.
The Fleet Command has demonstrated unwavering dedication and professionalism, achieving key operational milestones for 2024 with the Chief of Naval Staff expressing complete satisfaction in their readiness capabilities thus far: “We are proud to announce our successes throughout this year. Our commitment is towards constant enhancement.” Admiral Ashraf reiterated that maintaining a heightened state of preparedness was vital, considering potential threats along Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and especially within strategic zones like Gwadar Port.
Rear-Admiral Abdul Munib highlighted the Fleet’s operational accomplishments in his welcoming speech: “The Pakistani Navy has actively participated… This year, we were able to host 15 countries for bilateral and multilateral naval exercises.”
As a testament to their excellence throughout the year, awards commended top-performing squadrons within Pakistan Fleet Command. The Chief of Naval Staff emphasized that “Combined team spirit is key… This event not only honors individual accomplishments but also reflects on our collective dedication.”
