Rangers, Police arrest 7 suspects of banned outfit in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers and Sindh Police have arrested seven operatives of Baloch Liberation Authority (BLA) from Old Golimar area of Karachi on Saturday. According to the spokesperson, Rangers and police in Karachi arrested 7 suspects belonging to the outlawed organization while acting on a tip-off in Old Golimar.

“The accused are involved in target killing, street crime and drug trafficking,” he said. “Among them were Saber, Waleed, Adnan, Faisal, Muhammad Faheem, Sameer & Ehsan Pathan.” He also added that among the arrested suspects were those who used to provide financial support to BLA.

The spokesman said that all these men were members of Kashif Dada, Naeem Dada and other Sindhi groups. The LEA recovered 8 nine mm pistols, 550 different types of ammunition (2700 grams), 16 mobile phones + cash from the possession of accused in connection with their role as part of criminal network which includes BLA and has links to Tanzania.

Sindh Rangers spokesman said 2700 grams of Tanzania (cocaine), ice and cash, along with other items – four Wi-Fi devices, one motorcycle were also recovered from the accused.
