Sukkur: Showcasing Thousands of Female Artisans’ Work at Sartyoon Sang Crafts Exhibition

  • The works of thousands female artisans from different districts of Sindh are being displayed.
  • It will open to the public on Thursday, January 9 and run till Sunday, January 12, 2025. (Release issued here)
  • Aims to provide them with market linkages for better incomes from their skills.
  • Four different stalls have been set up at Ocean mall’s main foyer exhibiting traditional items such as garments, Ajrak, furniture and decoration pieces among others: bed sheets and leather handbags etc.
  • SRSO CEO Muhammad Dittal Kalhoro emphasized the event is aimed to facilitate better incomes for female artisans of rural Sindh through market linkages. He added that thousands of trained women from Jacobabad, Kandhkot-Kashmore and other underdeveloped regions have been incorporating urban trends into their work gaining maximum monetary benefits:
    • “In order to set apart our artisans’ works in the market,” he said.
