Sindh Government’s Plan for CCTV Installation in Karachi Colleges

The Sindh government has decided to install CCTV cameras [in and outside government colleges aimed security concerns] of the city. A letter was issued by Director General Colleges instructing principals about this initiative, mandating installation at strategic points like entrances, exits, and offices for enhanced college safety measures:
“In light of the prevailing security concerns in Karachi and the rising incidents [of] theft,” said a regional director. “It is imperative that we take proactive measures to ensure the foolproof security.” The initiative also includes ensuring employee, student, teacher safety as well as protection for government property.
“The installation of CCTV cameras will boost the security measures and help law enforcement agencies analyze events through footage in case an incident occurs,” he added (Director General Colleges).

The Sindh government is planning a program to provide electric vehicles (EVs) in an effort to tackle unemployment and promote environmental sustainability by providing EV taxis through easy installment plans: Young individuals will own and operate eco-friendly EV taxis.
