KARACHI: The matric examinations in Karachi, scheduled to begin on April 7, 2026, have been postponed.
Glum Hussain, Chairman of the Karachi Matriculation Board, announced that the final examinations will now commence on Friday, April 10, 2026.
The Chairman cited the decision to ensure better accommodation for students across Karachi.
The Controller of Examinations for the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) attributed the rescheduling to a software overload caused by a surge in data, leading to temporary technical faults.
A revised examination schedule will be issued shortly, with exams still held at previously assigned centers.
Earlier, the Karachi Matriculation Board announced that schools could obtain student admit cards starting April 6, 2026, by presenting an official authority letter.
The Board stated that cards could be collected from 9 am at the conference hall of the board located at the first building block B.
