KARACHI: Sindh Police have extended the deadline for vehicle and motorcycle owners to replace unapproved or fancy number plates with enforcement action now scheduled to begin on April 1.
According to Sindh Police spokesperson, the deadline has been extended until March 31 to give citizens additional time to comply with the regulations and install government-approved number plates. The crackdown will target vehicles and motorcycles displaying private, non-standard or fancy number plates. Police will also take action against people driving without a valid driving license.
The decision to extend the deadline was taken on the orders of Karachi Police Chief and Additional Inspector General (AIG) Azad Khan. Authorities have urged vehicle and motorcycle owners to ensure that their number plates meet the required standards before the deadline to avoid legal action.
The announcement comes as Sindh authorities continue efforts to enforce vehicle-related regulations and improve compliance with traffic and transport laws.
