Asad Raza, a 22-year-old from Karachi’s slum area ‘Khuda ki Basti’, is defying societal norms and setting an example of perseverance. He recently achieved a significant milestone by graduating as an Electrical Engineer from the esteemed Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIKI).
Raza shared that in his community, completing matriculation is considered the highest educational achievement. However, he chose to pursue further studies, saying, “I did not stop because I had to study further and complete my graduation at least.” He expresses deep gratitude towards his father for his unwavering support throughout his academic journey.
Despite coming from a family with limited resources, Raza now works in a software company in Lahore. His story is a testament to the power of hard work and determination.
